Couples

During the period 2010-2012, in addition to creating the work represented in “Faces & Figures In Space” I also created a body of work inspired by couples. These pieces share a similar spirit and style as the other works of this period. I followed the same process, involving sessions with live models, striving to discover and depict a universal essence within my subjects, and often incorporating mixed media into the resulting paintings. Unlike other pieces from this time period however, these pieces portray two different figures interacting with each other, often in an intimate embrace or interaction.
